OhioCTF: 20th place at Capture Ohio ’26
We competed in OhioCTF and finished in 20th place.
The event
Capture Ohio ’26 was the Ohio Cyber Range Institute’s statewide Capture the Flag competition. It took place on April 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., connecting students at locations across Ohio.
According to the University of Cincinnati’s event announcement, the challenges covered digital forensics, encryption and password cracking, network traffic analysis, vulnerability identification, and reverse engineering.
The organizer’s recap reports 68 teams and 226 students taking part. Our 20th-place result is my account of our team’s finish.
